Build Structures Automatically with Loops
Repetitive Building with Python
Use loops to construct buildings, walls, or patterns without placing each block individually.
Simple Loop Structure
`python
for x in range(10):
for y in range(5):
world.set_block(100 + x, 64 + y, 200, "stone")
`
This creates a 10×5 wall of stone. Adjust the range values and coordinates for your design.
Nested Loops for 3D Structures
Add a third loop for depth:
`python
for x in range(10):
for y in range(5):
for z in range(8):
world.set_block(100 + x, 64 + y, 200 + z, "oak_log")
`
Optimization Tips
- Start with small structures to test your script
- Use variables for starting coordinates to avoid repetition
- Mix block types within loops for variety: use conditionals to alternate materials
- Remember that large operations may take time—be patient
Common Patterns
- Walls: Two nested loops (x and y)
- Floors: Two nested loops (x and z)
- Hollow structures: Add conditional checks to skip interior blocks
Always verify your loop ranges before executing on a large scale.
