How to Create Sub-Menus to Fit More Actions on One Key
Why Use Sub-Menus
A single radial wheel has a limited number of slots. Sub-menus let you nest additional wheels inside a slot, so one key can reach far more than the base ring allows. This is the main way to keep your key bindings uncluttered.
Creating a Sub-Menu
In the MineMenu slot editor, choose a slot and set its action type to sub-menu (rather than key bind, command, or creative function). This converts that slot into a container. Open the sub-menu entry and you get a fresh ring of empty slots to fill exactly like the top level.
Filling and Nesting
Assign actions to the inner slots the same way you would on the main wheel. You can typically nest further, but keep depth shallow — two levels is usually enough before navigation becomes slow mid-game.
Labelling for Speed
Give the parent slot a clear label and icon so you know what's inside without opening it. Group related actions together: for example, one sub-menu for building utilities, another for travel commands.
Practical Advice
Avoid putting a sub-menu on a slot you also want to fire instantly. Reserve direct slots for your most-used actions and push occasional ones into sub-menus.
