How to Set Up Your First Farm

Gather Seeds and Soil

Farming requires two things: seeds and farmland. Collect seeds from hidden chests or by breaking tall grass on the grass biome side of the cube. You'll also need dirt or grass blocks—abundant on your starter island and the cube's green side.

Choose a Farm Location

Pick a flat, safe area on one of the larger floating islands or on the cube itself. Avoid edges where you might accidentally fall while working. A location near water is ideal, but you can carry water in buckets if needed.

Plant and Maintain Crops

Till soil by using a hoe on dirt or grass blocks to create farmland. Plant your seeds in rows. Water the farmland by placing water nearby—crops grow faster with hydration. Leave space between rows so you can walk and harvest without trampling plants.

Once crops mature, harvest and replant. Early farms provide food for survival and seeds for expansion. Consider building a small shelter nearby to store harvested items safely.
