How to Build a Safe Home Base

Select Your Base Location

Choose a larger floating island or a stable section of the cube planet. Avoid areas with steep drops or narrow edges. Your base needs enough flat space for a house, storage, and future expansion. Proximity to resources—water, trees, farmland—makes daily survival easier.

Construct Basic Shelter

Start with walls and a roof using blocks from your surroundings. Wood from trees is ideal for quick building. Make sure your structure is at least one block away from edges to prevent accidental falls. Include a door and windows for light and ventilation.

Add Essential Features

Inside, place a crafting table, furnace, and chests for storage. These three items form the core of any functional base. As you expand, add a bed for sleeping and a farm area nearby. Consider building railings around your base perimeter—they prevent falls and mark your territory.

Once secure, you can venture further to explore, knowing you have a safe place to return to with your gathered resources.
