Predict Which Chunk Will Delete Next
Understanding Chunk Deletion Patterns
The data pack deletes chunks randomly, but you can prepare by understanding how chunks are organized and staying aware of your surroundings.
How Chunks Work
1. Minecraft divides the world into 16×16 block sections called chunks
2. Chunks are arranged in a grid; you can see chunk boundaries using F3 + G (Debug mode)
3. The deletion is truly random—any chunk in the loaded world can disappear
Preparation Strategy
1. Enable Debug mode (F3 + G) to visualize chunk boundaries
2. Avoid building critical structures near chunk edges
3. Keep important items away from chunk borders
4. Stay in the center of a chunk when possible
During Gameplay
1. Regularly check your surroundings for missing chunks
2. Listen for block-breaking sounds—they indicate a nearby deletion
3. Keep moving and exploring to avoid being trapped when a chunk disappears
4. Mark safe zones mentally or with markers
Since deletion is random, focus on adaptability rather than prediction.
