Building a Base Away from Grass
Choosing a Safe Location
Select a base location on the bedrock platform where you started, or find another grass-free area like a beach, desert, or island. Underground bases are ideal since they're completely isolated from grass blocks above.
Underground Base Construction
Dig into stone to create rooms and tunnels. This method is safest because you control every block placed. Carve out living spaces, storage areas, and crafting stations entirely underground. You can create multiple levels and connect them with staircases or ladders.
Elevated Platform Bases
Build your base on a platform made entirely of safe blocks, elevated high above any grass. This gives you a clear view of surroundings and prevents accidental grass contact. Use pillars of stone or wood to support your structure.
Defensive Considerations
Since you're restricted to certain areas, position your base where you have easy access to resources and escape routes. Keep multiple exits available in case you need to flee. Stock your base with food, tools, and building materials so you can survive extended periods without venturing out into dangerous grassy terrain.
