Build a Backrooms Level 0 Hallway
Setting Up the Basic Structure
Start by creating a long, rectangular corridor using the wallpaper wall blocks (converted from bamboo and birch wood). Make the hallway at least 10 blocks wide and 20+ blocks long for an authentic endless feel. Use the blank wall blocks (birch planks) for variety on side walls and alcoves.
Adding Atmospheric Details
Place fluorescent lights (sea lanterns) into the ceiling at regular intervals—roughly every 4-6 blocks—to create that flickering office ambiance. Install the office tiles (polished diorite and granite) on the floor and ceiling to break up the monotony of solid wallpaper.
Add wall trims and surface details along the base and top of walls to create depth. Use the yellow carpets (yellow wool) as floor sections to simulate the damp, stained carpet of Level 0. Scatter these carpet blocks irregularly rather than in perfect patterns for a more unsettling, worn appearance.
Final Touches
Consider adding metal air vents (iron trapdoors) to the ceiling for industrial detail. Leave some areas completely bare and others heavily detailed to create an unsettling, inconsistent atmosphere that matches the Backrooms aesthetic.
