MidnightLib Mod: What It Is and How to Use It

A Library Mod, Not a Standalone Mod

MidnightLib is a technical library mod made by TeamMidnightDust. It does not add gameplay content on its own. Instead, it provides shared code that other mods rely on: cosmetics, common utilities, and a configuration system.

Because of this, you cannot "play" MidnightLib by itself. It only becomes active when a main mod that depends on it is installed. Known mods that load it include Decorative Mod, Dynamic Lights Mod, and Screenshots.

What It Does for You

If you use one of those mods, MidnightLib quietly handles their settings. You get a config overview screen reachable from the options menu, and individual config screens that work even without Mod Menu installed. Server configuration can also be edited in-game using commands.

Installation Notes

Install MidnightLib alongside the mod that requires it, not instead of it. If no dependent mod is present, it has nothing to do. Removing it while a dependent mod is installed will likely break that mod's config.
