How to Look Around with Keyboard Controls and Tune Sensitivity

Keyboard look controls

Besides controllers and touch, Midnight Controls adds keyboard controls for looking around. This lets you rotate the camera with keys instead of the mouse, which is useful for accessibility, for players without a mouse, or for hybrid setups. Enable keyboard look in the mod's settings and assign the direction keys.

Adjusting sensitivity and deadzones

1. Open the mod's settings and find the sensitivity or look-speed option.

2. Increase it if turning feels sluggish, decrease it if the camera overshoots.

3. If you use a controller, tune the stick deadzone so the camera does not drift when you are not touching the stick.

4. Test in a safe area before heading into combat.

Increasing interaction radius

Midnight Controls can extend how far you can reach to interact with objects. Raise the interaction radius option if you find yourself mis-clicking on distant blocks or entities. Keep it reasonable, since a very large radius can make it hard to target the block you actually want.

Combining input methods

You can mix keyboard looking with controller movement, or touch with a controller. Set each method up separately, then test them together in a flat area until the combination feels natural.
