Optimize Mica Mod Performance on Lower-End Systems

Understand the Performance Impact

Mica and Acrylic effects add visual processing overhead to your game's interface rendering. On systems with older graphics cards or limited VRAM, this can cause frame rate drops or stuttering, especially in menus.

Switch to Acrylic for Better Performance

If Mica effects are causing lag, try switching to Acrylic mode instead. Acrylic typically requires less GPU processing than Mica while still providing a modern visual enhancement.

Disable Effects Selectively

You don't have to use effects everywhere. Check the mod's configuration to see if you can disable Mica/Acrylic on specific UI elements or only enable them in certain menus. This reduces the constant rendering load.

Monitor Frame Rates

Use Minecraft's built-in FPS counter (F3 key) to measure performance before and after enabling effects. If you lose more than 10-15 FPS, consider disabling the mod or switching visual styles.

Update Graphics Drivers

Ensure your GPU drivers are current. Newer drivers often include optimizations that improve mod compatibility and performance.
