Make Spectral Arrows to Track and Highlight Enemies
Crafting Spectral Versions
Any metal arrow can be converted into a spectral variant using glowstone dust. Place a metal arrow and glowstone dust in a crafting grid to create a spectral version that retains the damage of its base material. This means you can make spectral iron, copper, gold, diamond, or netherite arrows.
When to Use Spectral Arrows
Spectral arrows make enemies glow for ten seconds when hit, making them visible through walls and in darkness. This is invaluable for:
- Hunting in caves where mobs hide in shadows
- Tracking fast-moving targets that dart between obstacles
- Coordinating group combat so teammates can see marked enemies
- Finding mobs in dense foliage or water
The glowing effect stacks with your arrow's full damage output, so a spectral netherite arrow still hits hard while revealing your target. Keep glowstone dust in your inventory whenever you expect low-visibility combat.
