Combine Metal Arrows with Crossbow Enchantments

Using Piercing with Metal Arrows

The Piercing enchantment on crossbows works with all metal arrow types. Piercing allows arrows to pass through multiple enemies in a line, dealing full damage to each target. This synergy is especially powerful with high-damage arrows like netherite or diamond.

Tactical Applications

A Piercing crossbow loaded with netherite arrows can eliminate entire mob lines in a single shot, making it ideal for:

• Mob farm harvesting where enemies line up
• Defending against raids where enemies cluster together
• Clearing caves with tight corridors full of mobs

The enchantment doesn't reduce arrow damage, so you get the full impact of your metal choice while hitting multiple targets. Combine this with spectral arrows for even more control—mark a line of enemies and pierce through them all while they glow. This makes a Piercing crossbow one of the most efficient tools for large-scale mob elimination when paired with premium arrow materials.
