Inspect a Villager's Breeding Status and Requirements

Opening the Villager Inspector

Locate an unemployed villager or one without an active workstation. Empty-hand right-click them (or Shift-right-click) to open the Villager Inspector window. The mod will prevent this villager from wandering away while you inspect them.

Reading Breeding Data

The inspector displays exact breeding cooldown timers in seconds, showing you precisely when this villager will be ready to breed again. You'll also see baby growth timers if there are young villagers nearby. The window lists all missing breeding requirements—check whether the villager has enough food, whether there are enough beds nearby, and whether they're in a valid village.

Checking Inventory and Restock Status

Scroll through the villager's inventory contents to see what items they're holding. The inspector also shows gossip values (reputation) and restock timers for each trade. This helps you understand why a villager might not be offering new trades yet or why breeding attempts are failing.
