Diagnose and Fix Broken Villager Workstations

Scanning for Workstation Problems

Open the Villager Inspector for any villager who isn't restocking or changing professions. The mod diagnoses whether their workstation is broken and displays whether the villager can actually reach their job block. If the workstation is out of range or blocked by obstacles, this will be flagged.

Checking Pathfinding

The inspector shows you the exact issue: is the job block too far away? Is there a wall or block in the path? Are there multiple conflicting workstations nearby? Use this information to relocate the workstation closer or remove obstacles blocking the villager's access.

Preventing Future Issues

When placing new workstations in your trading hall, keep them within the villager's detection range and ensure clear pathways. The Village Trade Browser can help you verify that unemployed villagers are actually finding and claiming their assigned workstations. If a villager still won't work after fixing the path, try picking them up and placing them again to reset their workstation link.
