Set Up Custom Illager Models for the First Time

Install Required Mod Dependencies

Before the cute girl illager designs appear in your world, you need to enable custom entity models. Choose one of these setups:

• OptiFine route: Install OptiFine for your Minecraft version. The resource pack will automatically use OptiFine's model system.
• Fabric route: Install both Entity Model Features (EMF) and Entity Texture Features (ETF) mods. These two work together to replace models and textures independently.

Load the Resource Pack

Once your mod setup is complete:

1. Place the Melody's Cute Girl Illagers pack in your resourcepacks folder

2. Open Minecraft and go to Options > Resource Packs

3. Find the pack in the "Available" list and click the arrow to move it to "Selected"

4. Confirm the pack loads (you may see a warning about unknown pack format—this is normal)

5. Return to the world or create a new one

Verify It's Working

Spawn or find an illager (Evoker, Vindicator, Pillager, or Ravager). If you see an anime-styled girl character instead of the default illager, the pack is active. If models still look vanilla, double-check that OptiFine or both EMF/ETF are installed and enabled.
