Prepare for Your First Mining Expedition

Gather Tools and Supplies

Before leaving the tower, craft or find a pickaxe, sword, and torches. The tower's crafting areas have furnaces and workbenches ready to use. Stock your inventory with food from the tower's storage or by farming nearby. Bring a bed so you can set a spawn point underground.

Choose Your Mining Direction

Leave the tower and find a suitable spot away from the village. Dig down carefully, placing torches on one side as you descend so you can find your way back. Avoid digging straight down or up to prevent fall damage and lava surprises.

Mine Efficiently

Look for ore veins and mine them with your pickaxe. Collect stone, coal, iron, and any other valuable ores you find. If you encounter lava, use water to create obsidian or simply avoid the area.

Return to Base

Follow your torch trail back to the surface. Head to the tower and smelt your ores in the smithing room. Store ingots and valuables safely for future use.
