What McQoy Mod Does

McQoy Mod is a small compatibility mod that bridges two configuration systems. It automatically generates in-game configuration screens for any mod that uses Kaleido, which itself is built on Quilt Config. Instead of requiring each mod author to hand-build a settings interface, McQoy produces a YACL-based screen from the existing Kaleido config data.

How It Works

Kaleido stores configuration in .toml files. McQoy reads those definitions and renders them as an interactive YACL screen, so options appear in-game rather than needing to be edited by hand. Because it works from Kaleido's config system directly, it applies to any mod built on Kaleido — not just one specific mod.

When You'd Use It

If you run a modpack or a mod that relies on Kaleido for its settings, McQoy gives you a graphical way to view and change those options. No per-mod setup is described; the screen generation follows from the Kaleido config itself.
