Troubleshoot Mouse Issues After Installing McMouser
Expected Behavior After Installation
Once McMouser Mod is active, you should notice:
- Shift + Scroll now changes hotbar slots smoothly
- Right-click feels immediate and responsive
- No accidental Ctrl key interference during gameplay
- Consistent mouse behavior with Windows/Linux players
If Issues Persist
Shift + Scroll still not working:
- Verify the mod is loaded (check your mod list in-game)
- Restart Minecraft completely
- Confirm you're holding Shift *before* scrolling
Mouse feels laggy or unresponsive:
- Check your Minecraft graphics settings—lower render distance or disable fancy graphics if needed
- Ensure your mouse driver is up to date (System Preferences → Trackpad or mouse settings)
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting your mouse
Right-click behaves strangely:
- The mod disables Ctrl + Click emulation; if you need Ctrl functionality, use your keyboard separately
- Test with a different mouse or trackpad to isolate hardware issues
If problems continue, verify you have the correct architecture version installed for your Mac.
