How to Debug Crashes Faster Using Mclogs Mod

Reproduce, Then Upload

The fastest way to debug is to reproduce the crash, then immediately upload the log. Run /mclogsc on the client right after the crash, or export the crash report if the game closed entirely. Uploading soon after the event ensures the log still contains the relevant error rather than being overwritten by later sessions.

Let the Highlights Guide You

On the mclo.gs page, errors and warnings are highlighted and version info is listed. Start at the first error, not the last, since later errors are often consequences of the first one. Check the version info against the mods you expect to be running to spot mismatches or missing dependencies.

Sharing with the Right People

Copy the link and post it in your modpack's support channel or the mod's issue tracker. Because IP addresses and similar sensitive details are hidden automatically, you can share the link without redacting it yourself. Include a short description of what you were doing when it crashed.

Handling Network Errors

If the problem is a connection or network error rather than a crash, the mod can export network errors too. Upload that log the same way and share the link. The highlighted output helps whoever assists you see the failure point without scrolling through the entire file.
