How to Configure Mclogs Mod with the Config File
Finding the Config
Mclogs Mod stores its settings in config/mclogs.toml. Open this file with any text editor after the mod has generated it on first launch. Changes take effect the next time the game or server starts, so save the file and restart before testing.
Pointing the Mod at a Custom Frontend
The main reason to edit the config is to use a custom frontend instead of the default mclo.gs service. Set the relevant option to the address of your own log-viewing frontend. This is useful for private servers or modpacks that want logs to stay within their own infrastructure. Keep the address exactly as your frontend expects it.
Keeping Sensitive Info Hidden
The mod hides sensitive information such as IP addresses by default. If your config exposes options around this behavior, leave the privacy-preserving defaults in place unless you have a specific reason to change them. Sharing logs publicly is safer when this filtering stays on.
Verifying Your Changes
After restarting, run /mclogsc on the client or trigger an export to confirm logs go to your chosen frontend. If the upload fails, recheck the address in config/mclogs.toml for typos and confirm the frontend is reachable from the machine running the mod.
