Set Up Chat Synchronization Between Minecraft and Discord
Configure the Chat Channel
Open your mod's configuration file and locate the Discord channel ID where in-game messages should appear. You'll need to specify a text channel in your Discord server that will receive all player chat.
Link Your Discord Bot
Ensure your Discord bot token is correctly entered in the configuration. The bot must have permissions to send and read messages in your designated channel. Test the connection by typing a message in-game—it should appear in Discord within seconds.
Enable Two-Way Communication
Once configured, Discord users can type in the linked channel and their messages will appear in-game with a Discord prefix or marker. Players in-game will see Discord usernames alongside their messages.
Customize Message Format (Optional)
Many configurations allow you to customize how messages appear—you can add prefixes, change colors, or filter certain message types. Check your config file for formatting options like messageFormat or discordPrefix.
Verify Permissions
Make sure your bot has the Send Messages and Read Message History permissions in the channel. Without these, synchronization will fail silently.
