Understand How MarketGuard Calculates Fair Prices

MarketGuard pulls pricing information from Hypixel Skyblock's Auction House to establish what items typically sell for. The mod analyzes recent listings and sales to determine a baseline market price for each item.

How the Comparison Works

When you attempt a transaction:

1. The mod looks up the item you're buying or selling

2. It compares your price against the current market baseline

3. If your price deviates beyond the configured threshold, a warning triggers

4. The warning shows the item name and the exact coin difference

Why Prices Vary

Market prices fluctuate based on supply, demand, and rarity. MarketGuard accounts for normal variation, but:

• Newly listed items may have incomplete price history
• Rare or seasonal items might show unusual prices
• Market shifts can make old data temporarily inaccurate

The mod errs on the side of caution, so occasional false warnings are normal. Use your judgment and the bypass feature when you're confident in your price.
