Map Distance Fix Mod: What It Does and How to Use It

Fixing Distant Terrain on Maps

Maps in Minecraft are drawn from the chunks the game has loaded and tracked around you. When terrain sits far from your position, that rendering can break down, leaving gaps, blank patches, or visuals that simply do not match the world you are standing in. Map Distance Fix Mod targets exactly this behaviour.

With the mod installed, maps render distant terrain the same way they render nearby terrain. Faraway chunks appear consistently, so an exploration map stays complete and accurate no matter how far you travel from the area it covers. You do not need to change settings, craft anything, or run commands — the correction applies automatically whenever a map is drawn.

Because the mod only adjusts map rendering, it stays lightweight and does not alter world generation, gameplay, or other mechanics. Install it like any standard mod, then use maps as you normally would. The difference shows up when you view regions at the edge of a map's range, where vanilla rendering tends to fall short.
