Getting Started with Manure

Manure Mod makes animals more realistic by having them periodically drop manure — twice a day by default. Any animal you keep, including entities from other mods that extend the Animal class, will produce this resource over time.

Manure works as a substitute for bone meal. Use it on crops to speed up their growth, or apply it to the ground to generate grass and flowers, helping you build lush landscapes without relying on bone meal.

You can also load manure into a dispenser and fire it from there, which is handy for automating farms or greening large areas.

The drop frequency is configurable, so you can adjust how often animals produce manure to balance realism against gameplay. If you want a steady supply for farming, keep animals around and let them do the work.
