Starting the Taming Process

Once your dragon egg hatches, you'll have a young dragon that needs taming. Approach it calmly and use the appropriate taming item—typically raw meat or fish, depending on the dragon type. The medieval-styled dragons in this pack maintain the same taming mechanics as the base mod, so patience is key.

Building Trust Through Interaction

Continue feeding your dragon and spending time near it. Each interaction increases your bond. The refreshed dragon designs make it more rewarding to watch your pet grow, with cleaner animations and better visual feedback as it matures.

Preparing for Riding

Once fully tamed, craft or obtain dragon armor that matches your dragon's type. This resource pack updates armor designs to complement each dragon's new look, creating a cohesive aesthetic. Equip the armor on your dragon, then use a saddle to prepare it for riding.

After saddling, you can mount your dragon and begin exploring. The medieval armor styling makes your mounted dragon look like a proper fantasy companion rather than a mismatched collection of textures.
