ManasCore Mod: What It Does and Why You Need It

Understanding ManasCore

ManasCore is a library mod, not a content mod. Installing it on its own won't add new blocks, items, or mobs to your game. Instead, it exists as a shared foundation that other mods from ManasMods depend on to function.

If you use any ManasMods mod, ManasCore must be present alongside it. Think of it as a support beam: the mods you actually play with are built on top of it, and without it they won't load correctly.

For mod developers, ManasCore offers parent classes for common generators, including BlockState, Block Model, Block Item Model, Item Model, Language, and Recipe generators. It also bundles utility functions aimed at cutting down repetitive setup work. This means a developer writing a ManasMods-style addon can extend these classes rather than writing boilerplate from scratch.

For regular players, the practical takeaway is simple: keep ManasCore installed whenever a ManasMods mod requires it, and don't expect it to change gameplay by itself.
