Making Cheese: Cheddar, Gouda, Parmesan, and Swiss
The mod's cheese line is one of its signature features. Cheeses come in two forms: a full wheel and a wedge. You will see Aged Cheddar, Aged Gouda, Aged Parmesan, and Aged Swiss, each with a matching wedge.
From Milk to Cheese
1. Collect milk in buckets from cows.
2. Use a cheese press or the mod's cheese-making block (check the Processes section of the wiki for the exact station) to convert milk into fresh cheese.
3. Place the fresh cheese in a aging spot — often a rack or a designated aging block — and let it sit. Aging is what turns fresh curds into Aged Cheddar, Aged Gouda, Aged Parmesan, or Aged Swiss.
4. Once aged, break or collect the wheel.
Cutting Wedges
A full cheese wheel can be cut into wedges. Place the wheel and use a knife or the mod's cutting tool to slice it. Wedges are what most sandwich and toast recipes call for, so cut only what you need and keep the rest as a wheel for storage.
Cheeses go into Avocado Toast with Tomatoes and Feta, Beef and Cheddar Sandwich, and many other dishes. Age several wheels at once so you always have a variety on hand.
