How to Make Butter in Mamas Herbs and Harvest

Butter is a core cooking ingredient in this mod, and you will need it for many baked goods and savory dishes. It is not crafted on a normal crafting table — it is made with a churn.

Getting the Churn

Craft a churn using wood planks and sticks in a shape similar to a barrel or composter. Place the churn down in your kitchen area. You will also need a milk source: either a bucket of milk from a cow, or a milk item the mod adds if you have other dairy animals available.

Churning Butter

1. Right-click the churn with a bucket of milk (or the mod's milk item) to fill it.

4. Right-click the churn to collect the butter into your inventory.

Butter is used in recipes like biscuits, pie crusts, and many of the mod's baked goods. If a recipe calls for butter and you only have milk, churn it first. Keep a stack of butter on hand before starting any large baking session so you do not have to stop and churn mid-recipe.
