Baking Pies: Apple, Beef Pot Pie, and Slices

Pies are a big part of this mod's cooking. You can make sweet pies like Apple Pie and savory ones like Beef Pot Pie, and both can be sliced for individual servings.

Preparing the Filling

For Apple Pie, gather apples (from the mod's apple trees or vanilla) and combine them with sugar and a fat such as butter. For Beef Pot Pie, cook beef with vegetables and barley or another grain to make a thick filling.

Assembling and Baking

1. Craft a pie crust. Crusts typically use flour and butter.

2. Combine the crust with your filling in the mod's pie recipe — usually a crafting table recipe that outputs an uncooked pie.

3. Place the uncooked pie in a furnace or the mod's oven block and bake it until it becomes the finished pie.

4. Place the finished pie on a surface and use a knife to cut it into slices. Each slice is a separate food item (Apple Pie Slice, Beef Pot Pie Slice).
