Setting Up New Mods That Require MaLiLib

Preparing for MaLiLib-Dependent Mods

Some mods list MaLiLib as a required dependency. Before installing these mods, you need to ensure MaLiLib API Mod is already in place.

Installation Checklist

1. Add MaLiLib first – Place the MaLiLib API file in your mods folder before installing any mods that depend on it. This prevents errors on startup.

2. Install your dependent mods – Add the mods that require MaLiLib to the same folder.

3. Launch the game – Start Minecraft normally. MaLiLib will initialize in the background. You won't see it in any menu—it works silently.

4. Access mod settings – Once loaded, your new mods should display settings menus. These menus are powered by MaLiLib's configuration system.

After Installation

Your mod settings are now automatically managed by MaLiLib. Any changes you make in-game are saved to standardized config files. If you later add more mods that use MaLiLib, they'll integrate seamlessly with the existing system—no reconfiguration needed.
