Adjust Bloom Intensity to Reduce Eye Strain

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader options menu by pressing the key bound to shader settings (usually accessed through your graphics settings or by pressing a designated hotkey in-game). Look for the MakeUp Breezy Shaders configuration panel.

Find Bloom Controls

Locate the bloom or glow intensity slider. This controls how much light sources like torches, lava, and glowstone emit a soft halo effect. If the bloom feels too strong and causes discomfort during extended play, reduce this value.

Customize for Your Setup

Start by lowering bloom to a moderate level, then test in different lighting conditions—near bright light sources, in caves, and at sunset. Bloom interacts with the shader's overall brightness, so you may need to adjust it alongside other lighting options.

Save Your Preferences

Once you find a comfortable level, save your shader configuration. Your settings will persist across sessions, so you won't need to readjust every time you launch the game.

If you're playing on a laptop or older computer, reducing bloom can also improve frame rates while maintaining the anime art style.
