Adjusting Bloom Intensity Around Light Sources

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader options menu while in-game by pressing the designated shader menu key (typically found in your control settings). Look for the Bloom or Light Effects section in the configuration panel.

Fine-Tune Bloom Parameters

Locate the bloom intensity slider. This controls how far the glow extends from torches, lanterns, and other placed light sources. Lower values create a subtle halo effect, while higher values produce a more dramatic, diffused glow that spreads further into surrounding blocks.

Adjust the bloom radius setting if available—this determines how wide the bloom spreads. You can also modify bloom saturation to make glowing light sources appear warmer or cooler.

Test Your Changes

Place torches or lanterns in a dark area and observe the effect in real-time. The changes apply immediately without reloading your world. If the bloom feels too intense and washes out detail, reduce the intensity value. If it's barely visible, increase it gradually until you find your preferred balance.

Save Configuration

Once satisfied, confirm and save your shader settings. These preferences persist across sessions.
