Use Commands to Trigger Specific Moon Events

Command Basics

The Magic Moon Mod supports /time commands to manually trigger specific moon events without waiting for their natural cycles. This is useful for testing, farming strategies, or controlling your gameplay experience.

How to Trigger Moons

Access the command interface: Open the chat window (default: T key) and type commands with a forward slash.

Set specific days: Use /time set followed by the day number to jump to when a particular moon occurs. For example, to trigger a Blood Moon, set the time to day 25, 49, 73, or any day matching the pattern (24n + 1).

Moon occurrence patterns:

  • Blood Moon: days 25, 49, 73, 97...
  • Magic Moon: days 49, 97, 145...
  • Yellow Moon: days 65, 129, 193...
  • Blue Moon: days 97, 193, 289...

Practical Uses

Test your defenses: Trigger a Blood Moon to verify your base is properly defended before the real event.

Farm efficiently: Jump to Yellow Moon nights to harvest crops with double drops multiple times.

Avoid dangerous events: Skip Magic Moon or Blood Moon nights if you prefer a peaceful session by advancing time past them.
