Choose the Right Mace for Your Combat Strategy
Density vs. Breach: When to Use Each
The color system helps you pick the right tool fast. Red (Density) maces deal more damage per hit and are better for overwhelming single targets. Blue (Breach) maces reduce enemy armor, making them stronger against heavily-armored mobs.
Before entering combat, think about what you'll face. If you're fighting armored mobs or players with armor, grab a blue mace. For raw damage output against unarmored or lightly-armored enemies, use red.
Wind Burst Considerations
Wind Burst adds knockback and mobility. The visual patterns show your level:
- Higher Wind Burst levels give you more control over enemy positioning and your own movement
- Combine Wind Burst with Density for burst damage and crowd control
- Combine Wind Burst with Breach for armor-shredding with mobility
The color tells you your primary strategy instantly. Grab the colored mace matching your plan, then check the Wind Burst pattern to confirm your mobility level before engaging.
