Run a Server with Modern Java Configuration
Prepare Java Arguments
Ensure you have a java9args.txt file in your server directory. This file contains Java 9+ specific flags that Lwjgl3ify needs to function correctly on newer Java versions.
Start the Server
Use the command:
`
java -Xmx6G -Xms6G @java9args.txt -jar lwjgl3ify-forgePatches.jar nogui
`
Adjust -Xmx6G and -Xms6G to allocate appropriate RAM for your server size. The first value is maximum memory, the second is initial memory.
Verify Startup
Watch the console output for errors. The server should initialize without graphics-related crashes that would occur on older Java versions. If the server fails to start, confirm that java9args.txt exists and contains valid JVM arguments.
Monitor Performance
Once running, the server benefits from modern Java optimizations—faster garbage collection and better threading. Monitor CPU and memory usage to ensure stability.
