Optimize Texture Loading Performance
Understand Texture Atlas Generation
Lwjgl3ify automatically combines thousands of block textures into texture atlases—large compiled images that the game loads once instead of individually. This happens nearly instantly thanks to the mod's modern rendering code.
Monitor First Launch
When you first load a world or resource pack, the mod generates these atlases in the background. You may notice a brief pause during this process, but it completes much faster than older Minecraft versions would take.
Verify Texture Quality
Once atlases are cached, subsequent launches load textures almost immediately. If textures appear corrupted or missing, delete the cache folder (usually in .minecraft/lwjgl3ify/cache or similar) and restart—the mod will regenerate atlases.
Use High-Resolution Packs
Because texture loading is now optimized, you can safely use higher-resolution resource packs without severe performance penalties. The mod's efficient atlas system handles larger textures better than vanilla would.
