Control Foliage Movement and Waving Effects

Access Foliage Settings

Open shader options with Right Shift, then go to Shader Options and find the Foliage, Animation, or Wind section.

Adjust Wave Intensity

Locate the foliage movement slider or toggle. Higher values create more pronounced waving motion in grass, leaves, and plant blocks. Lower values produce subtle, gentle movement. If you want completely still foliage, some shaders allow you to disable this feature entirely.

Configure Wave Speed

If available, adjust the animation speed. Faster speeds create a more energetic, windy feel—good for fantasy atmospheres. Slower speeds produce calm, peaceful swaying suitable for serene builds.

Test Different Biomes

Foliage movement varies by environment:

  • Forests: Dense leaf canopies show dramatic waving effects
  • Grasslands: Tall grass movement is most visible
  • Swamps: Unique vegetation displays varied animation

Adjust settings to match your desired mood. Faster, more intense movement suits action-oriented builds, while slower waves complement relaxing landscapes.
