Understand Character Coverage and Language Support
What's Covered
Lumina Velvet Script includes gradient shading for over 10,000 characters across 36 Unicode pages. This includes standard ASCII, accented letters, diacritics, enchanting runes, and illager glyphs.
Supported Character Types
- Standard text: English letters, numbers, punctuation
- European accents: Á, É, Ñ, Ü, and similar diacritical marks
- Enchanting table: Standard Galactic Alphabet runes display with custom shading
- Illager text: Raid captain and other special glyphs are styled
- Symbols: Mathematical operators, arrows, and interface icons
Languages Left Unshaded
Chinese, Japanese, Kannada, and Korean characters are intentionally left without gradient shading. This prevents display bugs and ensures these writing systems remain readable. The pack still displays these languages correctly—they simply use standard rendering.
Why This Matters
Unshaded languages maintain their original clarity and prevent visual glitches that gradient effects might cause. This is a deliberate design choice to balance aesthetics with functionality across all supported character sets.
