Enhance Lighting from Torches and Glowing Blocks
Locate Light Emission Settings
Open shader options and find the Lighting, Light Sources, or Emissive section. LumaSky brightens light-emitting blocks by default, but you can intensify or tone down this effect.
Configure Light Intensity and Spread
Adjust these parameters:
- Emissive Brightness: Controls how bright torches, lanterns, and glowing blocks appear. Higher values make light sources more prominent and cast stronger illumination on nearby blocks.
- Light Spread/Radius: Determines how far light from sources reaches into dark areas. Increase this to brighten larger cave sections; decrease it for more localized lighting.
- Bloom Effect: If available, this adds a glow halo around bright light sources, enhancing the fantasy aesthetic.
Test in Dark Environments
Enter a cave or build an underground structure with torches and glowing blocks. Observe how light spreads and interacts with stone, water, and other materials. Adjust settings until caves feel properly illuminated without appearing washed out.
Balance with Ambience
Be cautious with extreme values—overly bright settings can reduce the cozy, atmospheric feel of torchlit areas. Find a balance where light sources feel impactful but natural.
