Customize Fog Density and Color Across Biomes

Open Fog Settings

Access the shader options menu and navigate to the Fog or Atmosphere section. LumaSky applies different fog profiles to various biomes automatically, but you can override these settings.

Adjust Global Fog Parameters

Modify these core options:

  • Fog Density: Controls how thick fog appears. Increase for a more mysterious, enclosed feel; decrease for clearer distant views.
  • Fog Start Distance: Sets where fog begins to appear relative to your position. Closer values create denser fog near the player.
  • Fog Color: Some settings allow you to tint fog toward warm (sunset) or cool (morning) tones, or match specific biome atmospheres.

Biome-Specific Adjustments

If available, look for biome-specific fog toggles. Swamps, forests, and mountains can have independent fog settings. This lets you create distinct visual moods—thick fog in spooky biomes, clear air in bright plains.

Preview and Refine

Travel between different biomes to see how fog changes. Adjust density and color until the atmosphere feels cohesive across your world while maintaining each biome's unique character.
