Enable or Disable Outlines on Specific Elements

Locate Outline Settings

In the Luma Light configuration menu, find the section labeled Outlines or Edge Detection. This controls which game elements receive the cartoon-style outline effect.

Toggle Individual Outline Types

You can typically enable or disable outlines for:

  • Terrain and blocks: The main landscape outline effect
  • Mobs and entities: Creatures and other moving objects
  • First-person hands: Your own hand model when holding items
  • Held items: Objects in your inventory that you're carrying
  • Projectiles: Arrows, tridents, and other thrown items

Adjust Outline Thickness and Color

Most configurations allow you to control outline width—thicker outlines create a more dramatic cartoon look, while thinner ones feel more subtle. You may also adjust the outline color to match your preferred art style.

Performance Consideration

Outlines require extra rendering. If you experience frame rate drops, disable outlines on less important elements like projectiles or held items first.
