Handle Monster Spawns Without Falling Behind
Don't Stop to Fight
When a lucky block spawns a zombie, creeper, or other hostile mob, your instinct might be to fight. Resist this. The race rewards forward momentum—stopping to kill a monster wastes precious seconds and lets other players gain distance. Sprint past the mob instead.
Create Distance Safely
If a monster is chasing you:
- Keep running straight ahead on the track.
- Don't zigzag or jump unnecessarily—these slow you down.
- If the mob is close, sprint toward the next section where new blocks might spawn and distract it.
- Use terrain features (hills, water) to break line of sight if available.
When to Fight Back
Only engage a monster if it's blocking your direct path forward and you cannot run around it. Use a weapon if you have one, but keep it brief. A few quick hits to clear the path is acceptable; a full combat engagement is not.
Prepare for Boss Spawns
If a boss-level monster spawns, assume other players will also encounter it or have already passed it. Don't waste time—run around it if possible, or sprint through the arena to escape. The final battle is where you settle who's strongest.
