Test the Fire Overlay Reduction

If you're unsure whether Low Fire Reborn is functioning properly, you can easily test it by deliberately catching fire and observing the overlay behavior.

Steps to Test

1. Create a safe testing environment—use Creative mode or set up a controlled area with water nearby

2. Place a block of fire or lava in front of you

3. Walk into the fire source to catch on fire

4. Look at your screen in first-person view

5. Observe the fire overlay—it should appear only in the lower portion of your screen, leaving most of your view clear

6. Compare this to what you'd expect from vanilla Minecraft (where the overlay covers much more of the lower half)

If the overlay still covers a large area of your screen, check that the mod is properly installed and enabled. If the overlay is barely visible or completely absent, your configuration may have disabled it. You can adjust the settings in the config file to find your preferred balance between visibility and the fire effect.
