Set Up Your Hotbar for Efficient Tool Switching
Organize by Tool Type
Arrange your hotbar so similar tools are grouped together. For example: pickaxes in slots 1-3, axes in slots 4-5, swords in slots 6-7. This makes it easier to predict where the mod will switch you when durability runs low.
Keep Repair Materials Accessible
Reserve one or two hotbar slots for repair materials like mending books, anvils (in creative), or grindstones. When the mod switches you away from a broken tool, you'll know exactly where to find what you need to fix it.
Prioritize Your Most-Used Tool
Place your primary mining or combat tool in an early slot (1-3). If it's the only tool with low durability, the mod will cycle through empty slots before reaching it, giving you time to react.
Test Your Setup
Before heading into dangerous situations, deliberately let a tool reach low durability in a safe area. Observe which slot the mod switches you to. This helps you understand your hotbar's behavior and adjust positioning if needed.
