How to Configure Lost Souls Mod Difficulty and Spawns
Where the Options Live
The mod is highly configurable. After installing it, a config file is generated for it (usually in your instance's config folder). Open it with a text editor while the game is closed, or use an in-game config menu if your mod loader provides one.
Key Settings to Adjust
- Mob types: control which mobs are allowed to spawn in haunted buildings. Remove ones you find unfair and keep the rest.
- Spawn counts: adjust how many mobs appear. Lowering this makes buildings less overwhelming.
- Health and damage scaling: the mod boosts vanilla mobs inside haunted areas. Reduce or disable the multiplier if fights feel too punishing.
- Clear requirement: change how many mobs you must defeat to clear a building. A lower number means faster clears.
- Haunting frequency: some versions let you control how often buildings become haunted at all.
Applying Changes
1. Close Minecraft fully before editing the config.
2. Change the values you want, then save the file.
3. Relaunch and load your world. Most settings apply to newly generated or newly haunted buildings, so existing haunted structures may keep their current state until cleared.
If a setting name is unclear, read the comment lines above it — they usually explain the range and effect.
