Adjust Fog Distance and Density
Access Shader Settings
Open the shader options menu while in-game. This is typically accessed through your graphics settings or a dedicated shader menu button, depending on your loader.
Customize Fog Behavior
Locate the fog settings panel. LoShades Shaders provides controls to adjust:
- Fog distance: How far you can see before the fog becomes opaque. Increasing this value extends your render distance perception; decreasing it creates a denser, closer fog effect.
- Fog density: How thick the fog appears. Higher density creates a more dramatic atmospheric effect, while lower density keeps the world more visible.
Apply and Test
After adjusting these sliders, the changes apply immediately in-game. Walk around different biomes to see how fog interacts with terrain and lighting. Fog behavior varies by time of day and weather, so test during both day and night cycles.
Performance Tip
Increasing fog distance may slightly impact frame rate. If you notice performance drops, reduce fog distance or density to maintain your target FPS.
