Balancing Exploration Rewards with Loot Integrations and Valhelsia Structures

Understanding the Knobs You Have

This addon does not expose a simple "loot quality" slider in-game. What it does is route Valhelsia Structures chests through Loot Integrations' shared pool. To change how rewarding exploration feels, you adjust what goes into that pool and how the pool is weighted, rather than tweaking this addon directly.

Practical Adjustments

1. Add more Loot Integrations addons to widen the pool. More entries generally means more variety per chest, though each individual item becomes less likely.

2. Remove addons for mods whose items you consider too strong or too weak for your pack's progression. Fewer, more curated entries make each roll feel more deliberate.

3. Use datapacks to edit the underlying loot tables if you want precise control over weights and counts. Loot Integrations tables are datapack-driven, so this is the correct place for fine tuning.

4. Test in a fresh world after each change, since existing chests will not update.

What to Expect

Because loot is weighted and rolled per chest, you cannot guarantee a specific item from a specific structure. Treat this addon as a variety and value booster, not a deterministic reward system. If you need guaranteed drops for progression, place them with a separate structure-specific datapack rather than relying on the shared pool.
