Each underground village contains multiple building types—residential areas, wells, storage facilities, and communal spaces. Each structure type may have different chest contents. Systematically explore every building to collect the full variety of available loot.

Depth and Progression

Villages at different depths offer different rewards. Shallow villages provide basic resources suitable for early-game players, while deeper villages contain better equipment and rarer items. Plan expeditions to progressively explore deeper as your gear improves.

Revisiting Villages

Chests in Stoneholm structures do not respawn. Once looted, they remain empty. However, you can explore multiple different villages to find fresh chests. Map out several villages in your world and visit them in sequence.

Modded Item Farming

If you're seeking specific modded items, note which villages tend to contain them. Different structures may weight their loot differently. Return to villages that consistently provide items you need for crafting or progression.

Trading Opportunities

Excess loot can be traded with villagers or used in crafting recipes. Consider keeping duplicates for future use rather than discarding them immediately.
