Finding and Looting Underground Village Chests

Locating Underground Villages

Underground villages in Stoneholm are hidden beneath the surface, typically found in deep cave systems and stone layers. Use a cave system as your entry point, or mine downward in promising areas. Listen for ambient sounds or look for structured stone formations that seem too regular to be natural.

Opening Chests Effectively

Once you've found an underground village, explore systematically. Chests appear in various structures—houses, wells, storage areas, and communal buildings. Open each chest you find; the mod has replaced their contents with loot that matches vanilla progression rewards.

What to Expect

Chests now contain items appropriate to your current game stage, rather than random or mismatched loot. If you have other mods installed, you may also find their items mixed into these chests, giving you access to modded equipment and resources without crafting.

Tips for Efficiency

Bring plenty of inventory space and consider multiple trips. Mark your path back to the surface with torches or blocks. The deeper villages often contain better rewards, so venture further when you're prepared for hostile mobs.
