Adding Loot Integrations to an Existing World Without Breaking It

You can add this integration to a world you have already been playing, but you need to understand how loot generation timing works so you are not disappointed by old chests.

The key rule

Loot is decided when a structure's chest is first generated, not when you open it. Adding the mod does not rewrite chests that already exist in explored chunks. To see the new loot behavior, you must travel into chunks that have never been generated.

Doing it cleanly

1. Back up your world before changing your mod list — this is non-negotiable when adding or removing content mods.

2. Add the integration and confirm the base Structory mods are still present.

3. Load the world and travel well beyond your explored area, or start a fresh world if you want the full effect immediately.

4. Visit newly generated Structory and Tower structures and check the chests.

5. If you later remove a mod whose items ended up in chests, expect those entries to become invalid — clean up or accept oddities.

Never remove the base Structory mods while keeping the integration, since it depends on their tables to function.
